What is Math Teacher Link?
Math Teacher Link is a web-based professional development program for mathematics teachers at the 9 - 14 grade levels. It provides short courses on the use of technology in teaching mathematics in the areas of Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics
Are these courses for credit?
All of the courses can be taken for Continuing Education Units. Some of the course modules can be taken for graduate credit from the University of Illinois. Several of the courses can be applied to an online Master's Degree in Educational Technology, see the CTER link on the right.
CTER students must complete their course within the semester they are enrolled. Students enrolling outside of CTER for graduate credit or CEU's have up to 16 weeks from the date that they enroll to complete their courses. Courses may be completed in less than 16 weeks if the student desires.
How do I get started?
These short courses provide teachers with resources to improve the use of technology within the classroom. Many courses include examples by previous participants that can also serve as possible resources.
