Geometry
Resources

- Euclid's
Elements
- A Java-based, online version of the
Elements. This is not really a lesson,
it's a whole geometry curriculum; the one
used for last couple thousand years. You
can interact with the drawings for each
proposition, grabbing points and
rearranging the graphs. This is an
exciting example of a classic text
meeting with the new technology.
-
- Web
Pisces
- An interactive site that allows
particpants to play with curves and
graphs that have singularities.
-
- Quasitiler
- The Quasitiler is an interactive online
application that allows students to play
with tilings by changing numerical inputs
and veiw perspectives. An excellent site
and resource for tiling lessons.
-
- Richard
Hawkin's Digital Archive
- This site is full of 3D Geometry
Quicktime Movies. They are great for
classroom presentation as well as student
observation. The movies are of very high
quality.
-
- Fractals
and tessellations
- An excellent display of tesselation and
fractal graphics by students at Thomas
Jefferson Junior High School in Salt Lake
City, Utah. The graphics print well for
class handouts or overhead
transparencies. The students' teacher,
David Bradley, describes the lesson
that led to the projects.
