Math Teacher Link is a website
designed to deliver professional development opportunities and classroom resources to
teachers of mathematics, statistics, and related subjects at the high school and lower
division college levels.
Math Teacher Link provides:
| Time-Flexible Course Modules and
Interactive Tutorials |
Features of the Course Module Program
- Teachers can complete the modules at home or at school within
flexible time schedules that they help to select!
- Each module includes a required classroom unit created by the
participating teachers for use in their classes and schools!
- Teachers can choose from a growing list of course modules to fit
their needs and interests!
- Teachers can register on-line for Math Teacher Link course modules for Graduate Credit or Continuing Education Credit from the University of
Illinois. They can also register as guests of the program for certain course modules.
Graduate credit or Continuing Education Credit registrants
will be provided with individual instructional and technical support services, a copy of the Math
Teacher Link Handbook, and a login and password that is required for use of the Module
Working Environment.
Guest registration for the Course Modules is free to mathematics
teachers as a service to the profession. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources
to provide instructional and technical support, the handbook, or access to the Module
Working Environment for guest registrants.
Here we have assembled classroom resources that we believe can be
very useful to teachers of mathematics, statistics, and related subjects at the high
school and lower division college levels. The Classroom Resource Bank is organized by
course topics and instructional strategies to simplify access for teachers.
Math Teacher Link visitors can use this facility to:
- link to a variety of web sites that are of interest to math
teachers, and that change daily or weekly.
- learn about recent or upcoming events for math teachers, or
about changes in the MTL web site.
The Math Teacher Link Message Board is an excellent way for users of
our site to communicate. You can add a message about an interesting site that you would
like to share with others, or you can ask questions or pose problems for response by other
teachers who visit Math Teacher Link!
| Module Working Environment |
The Math Teacher Link Module Working Environment is the place where
you can submit your module assignments, pick up your graded module assignments, and check
on your progress with module work. The working environment will also contain a message
board for use only by users who are registered for Graduate or Continuing
Education credit, a chat room, and many other outstanding features.
You will be issued a login and password to access this system ONLY after you complete your
enrollment in a module with the Division of Extramural Programs.
